Through the wonders of modern technology I can interview women pilots, mechanics, and engineers around the United States and throughout the world using Skype or email.
However, there are airports across the country and world that I'd like to visit. Most of the small airports that used to cover the United States are long gone, and I'd like to visit those that remain.
There are also the papers of pilots and inventors in repositories at universities and in museums that I'd like to see and read with my own eyes. I also want to see the historical markers, memorial plaques and statues erected in honor of all pilots - men and women.

Amelia Earhart statue, Burbank Airport
I'll be documenting the research and writing of this book through my blog, The Freedom Seat Chronicles. I'll be driving to most of the locations, and flying to a few more.
I'll write travel articles featuring any attractions I visit (museums, statue locations, etc.) airports, and so on.
I will also provide advertising space (banners and text ads) for organizations that provide me with necessities such as lodgings or gasoline.
